Cares and Shares is a community-wide campaign to allow all Springtown area citizens an opportunity to share with others less fortunate than themselves. It is a local “United Way” type of organization. Since the United Way is not in Springtown, Cares and Shares was formed. Our non-profit foundation is the primary funding source for several organizations within our community, including:

Neighbor to Neighbors – meeting the food and clothing needs and provides utility payment assistance to community members.
Fact: $30.00 buys enough food to feed a family of 5 for one month!

School Supply Assistance – provides assistance to elementary schools for school supplies.

Dental Hygiene – provides assistance and supplies to elementary schools for dental hygiene programs

REACT - Responding to Every Assault and Crisis Team (REACT) was developed in 1999 to provide support to victims who have suffered a traumatic experience. Such as crisis intervention, stress management, dealing with death/grief, child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, mass disasters, alcohol and drug abuse, etc.

Good NEWS – Helps senior citizens remain living in their own homes by providing visitation, transportation, shopping assistance, minor home repairs etc.

Christmas in April – provides assistance to those in our community whose homes are in need of repair.

Primary Purpose (Mission Statement)

The primary purpose of Springtown "Cares and Shares" Foundation, Inc. of Springtown, Texas is to raise monies to fund charitable and educational purposes; historical and cultural development purposes; including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501c (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law.

About "Cares and Shares"

"Cares and Shares" is incorporated in the State of Texas and has been approved as a 501c (3) tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service. "Cares and Shares" will utilize and distribute said voluntary and charitable gifts and contributions solely for exclusive charitable purposes. Less that one percent (1%) is paid for administration expenses.
